While the AI maintains its key features throughout the book, some illustrations may vary slightly due to different poses and scenes. Our books are designed for children ages 2-8, with each story's specific age range specified. We recommend starting at age 2 or older, as younger children's features are still developing and may not personalise as accurately. That said, you know your child best—choose the story that fits their interests and reading level!

Storybooks are fully illustrated stories perfect for reading together, while colouring books let your child colour themselves into the adventure, bringing the story to life with their own creativity. Both feature engaging stories—some shared between formats, others unique to each type.

We know that as parents, you have a million things to do, so we've made the process as simple as possible. The story text can't be edited, but your child's name (and any other characters' names) will appear throughout the story, and you can add your own personalised dedication message at the start of the book.

Absolutely! You can personalise any book for different children—simply create a new version for each child. We also offer select stories that feature two children together in the same storyline, perfect for siblings or friends.

Yes! After ordering, you'll be able to download a digital copy of your book. Perfect for travelling light—enjoy their favourite story on your iPad or tablet during holidays, car journeys, or anytime you're on the go.

We take your child's privacy very seriously. We follow strict GDPR and NLPD data protection standards. Photos are used solely to create your personalised book and are never shared, sold, or used for any other purpose. You have full control and can delete your photos from our systems at any time through your profile settings.

Printing takes 2-7 working days depending on your selected print speed (rush or regular) and cover type. Shipping times vary by destination and service level—you'll see all available options with estimated delivery dates at checkout, so you can choose what works best for you. If the character likeness misses the mark, there's a printing defect, or the book arrives damaged, email support@makeitmine.ai within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we'll reprint and ship a replacement at no cost. For issues outside these cases, we'll always work with you to find a fair solution.

Once a personalised book is finished, it's saved to your profile and you can reorder identical copies any time — perfect for gifting to grandparents, keeping a spare at daycare, or replacing a well-loved original. You can also create a fresh version with an updated dedication without redoing the character setup.

We print on FSC-certified paper from responsibly managed forests and use water-based inks wherever possible. For every book sold we plant one tree through our reforestation partner, so your child's story quite literally helps a forest grow. You'll find the exact reforestation project listed on your order confirmation.
